CoolSculpting Elite Pre- and Post-Care Instructions
CoolSculpting Elite is a non-surgical body contouring procedure designed to eliminate stubborn fat cells through controlled cooling. The procedure targets and freezes fat cells without harming surrounding tissues. Once the fat cells are crystallized, they are naturally processed and removed by your body, leading to permanent fat reduction in the treated area.
To Prepare for Your CoolSculpting Elite Treatment:
- Arnica Pellets: Begin taking Arnica pellets two weeks before your procedure. Arnica can help minimize bruising, swelling, and overall discomfort associated with the treatment.
- Tylenol: To manage any discomfort, take Tylenol (acetaminophen) 1 hour prior to your treatment. Avoid taking other pain medications or anti-inflammatory drugs, such as aspirin or ibuprofen, as they may increase the risk of bruising.
- Avoid Blood Thinners: Refrain from using blood thinners or anti-inflammatory medications prior to your treatment, as these can increase the risk of bruising.
- Hydration: Ensure you are well-hydrated before your procedure. Drink plenty of water to help your body handle the cooling process and aid in recovery.
- Clothing: Wear comfortable clothing on the day of your treatment. The procedure does not require any special attire.
Post-Treatment Instructions
What to Expect:
Immediately after the CoolSculpting Elite procedure, the treated area may appear red. You might also experience bruising, swelling, tenderness, and a sensation of tingling or cramping, which are normal and typically resolve within a week or two. Some numbness and tenderness may persist for several weeks.
To Enhance Your Recovery and Results:
- Arnica Gel: Apply Arnica gel to the treated area to help reduce bruising and swelling. Use as directed on the packaging or as recommended by your provider.
- SkinMedica Firm & Tone: Apply SkinMedica Firm & Tone to the treated area. This product contains ingredients that help improve skin texture and elasticity while reducing the appearance of cellulite. It works by stimulating collagen production and enhancing skin firmness, which can aid in the contouring results of CoolSculpting.
- Hydration: Continue to drink plenty of water to support your body’s natural processes and aid in the elimination of fat cells.
Expected Results: You may start to notice changes as early as four weeks after your CoolSculpting Elite treatment, with the most significant results typically visible after one to three months. Your body will continue to process and eliminate the fat cells over the next four months.
