Crystal Clear Microdermabrasion with Oxygen Therapy Facial
What is it? The one hour-long Facial combines two skincare techniques: Microdermabrasion and Oxygen Therapy.
Microdermabrasion allows you to treat lines, wrinkles, dull dehydrated skin, sun damaged skin, skin laxity and acne scarring by using a controlled method of skin exfoliation, which uses crystals to gently lift and remove dull, dead skin cells, layer by layer.
Oxygen Therapy works with active ingredients in the serum to stimulate oxygen, re-energise skin cells and reverse free radical damage, thus plumping up tired and sallow skin, providing new healthy skin and reversing the sign of ageing.
We say: Phoenix, Arizona pollution, lack of sleep, stress and a long-haul flight have resulted in seriously lackluster and dull skin, so I was dying to try this treatment. Off I went to the Suddenly Slimmer Day and Med Spa for my bespoke Crystal Clear Deluxe Facial. The therapist started off by removing my makeup with a gentle cleanser. Then she started on my skin with the microdermabrasion machine, a mini powerful vacuum if you will, which she used across my face and neck to smooth skin and remove dead cells. When I have facials I like to really feel the treatment working and this didn’t disappoint.
Next up, the Oxygen Therapy. The therapist massaged my face with an active serum first, which was very refreshing, before using her oxygen machine. Now if you’re ticklish or sensitive, beware. The machine delivers oxygen to your skin by spraying mist onto your face, which can be a little uncomfortable on the thin layers of skin around the neck and eyes. This magically activates the serum for a healthy glow. She finished off with a moisturiser and a blissful head massage. In summary: I was looking for immediate results (I’m a little impatient) and this came up trumps. Gone was my lifeless skin, replaced with a dewy complexion and rosy cheeks. And dare I say it, in no need of foundation. It felt really smooth too. If you’re looking for a quick fix, then this one’s for you, though for the full benefits, five treatments are recommended. ~ Jennifer Penny~
