It’s the “keyhole pout,” a lip enhancement method that results in a little hole right in the center of the pout. How long does it take?
Our signature keyhole pout lip injection takes about 30 minutes. The procedure itself is only 10 minutes but preparation with paperwork and applying a topical anesthetic take up the other 20 minutes. Most importantly we take however much time is needed to give you an excellent result.
How long does it last?
Typically lip injections last 6-12 months.
Will be swollen after?
Everyone is different, some people swell up while others do not, swelling depends on multiple factors. Just because you didn’t swell one time, does not mean you will not swell the next time you do a treatment. HA products that we use naturally draw up water. After the injection, it will suck up water from your tissue and it’s going to hold on to it for potentially a few days. If there is swelling, it typically lasts less than 3 days. To be safe we would plan to inject your lips a week before any major event.

What about bruises?
Some people are pre-disposed to bruise, avoiding certain vitamins and herbs, alcohol, and NSAIDs (like ibuprofen) can decrease the chances of a bruise. Most bruising lasts 2-3 days but can last up to 2 weeks.
What is the product made of?
For my lip injections, we exclusively use Hyaluronic Acid such as Juvederm, Restylane, Volbella, Kysse Filler. Hyaluronic acid is a natural type of sugar and it’s already in your body. It’s in your skin and your joints and it acts as a space filler. The product we use is safe and natural.
How do you avoid bad fillers?
Don’t have them done at spa offering it for half the cost. You’ll thank us later! You want to go to somebody that is using the cutting edge latest techniques and order from only reputable sources because there are products that are getting continually approved, and improved. There are three major companies and brands we use: Juvederm (Allergan), Restylane (Galderma). So when you’re making this decision, make sure you’re going to someone who’s reputable and they’re using good quality products.

Can you kiss after getting lip injections?
Yes, you absolutely can. The first couple of days it is a little bit more sensitive, and so what we recommend is that when you go home you put ice on it and follow the aftercare instructions.
I’ve heard about people having bumps…
Unfortunately, bumps can happen! Most bumps are small resolving bruises or some of the products. Usually, these bumps respond well to massage, or injections of a dissolver can be used in rare-instances to help get rid of these bumps.
