This whole month of October, the spa will be giving 20 percent of the proceeds from specific spa treatments booked by clients. These will be donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. PLUS, something a little more fun, Suddenly Slimmer is offering a 20 percent discount to any spa treatment to team members who are registered to do the 3-Day Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Walk or any marathon associated with breast cancer awareness week. All team members have to do is show proof of registration and they can get their discount to some spiffy spa treatments that will indulge them after the 3-day walk and/or run! PHOENIX—For many years now, Suddenly Slimmer Day & Med Spa in Phoenix has been a big supporter of the breast cancer awareness movement. Suddenly Slimmer Day & Med Spa has had clients and friends affected by breast cancer one way or another, that is why their commitment to support and help fight breast cancer is always evident come October—Cancer Awareness month.
“We’ve had clients who have gone through intense chemotherapy and they come into the spa to find relaxation and to feel beautiful,” explains Jeannie Marcelino, Spa Director. “Some of our clients undergoing traditional treatment for breast cancer come to us for alternative treatments as well,” Marcelino added, referring to acupuncture and other Eastern treatments the spa also offers.
This October, Suddenly Slimmer Day & Med Spa is again showing their support to breast cancer awareness. When spa clients request any of the spa treatments mentioned below, Suddenly Slimmer Day & Med Spa will be giving 20 percent of proceeds from these specific treatments to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.

Also, Suddenly Slimmer Day & Med Spa is giving special attention to the teams who will be participating in the Susan G. Komen 3-Day Walk and/or marathons happening in October to raise money for breast cancer awareness.
“We want to be their cheerleaders and we want to show them how much we also appreciate their dedication to finding the cure,” said Marcelino.
Any team member who can show proof of registration to a breast cancer event will receive 20 percent off their spa treatments (massages and facials are popular!) will get a 20 percent off their spa treatments. Suddenly Slimmer Day & Med Spa staff will make sure that their toes, feet, back and skin are well prepped before the event and well pampered after. Having a team spa day also creates a bond and great camaraderie among friends.
“Consider us their cheerleaders, but instead of yelling cheers, we give them something that will revive them to keep going,” said Marcelino.
